Where this site actually comes from.

None of the writing here was invented from nothing. It started with people who had already broken the material down, and went from there to the papers. This is the list of those entry points — 77 channels across eight fields, each with a line on why it's there. Faster than a textbook, gentler than a paper. Most of them are in English.

What's insideThe eight fields

Brain, consciousness and BCI

Neuralink, Synchron, Blackrock Neurotech and OpenBCI's own channels — the only place surgical footage and implementation detail surface as primary sources.

Physics and cosmology

Kurzgesagt, Vsauce, Sabine Hossenfelder, StarTalk, World Science Festival, Anton Petrov. Chosen for reaching a general audience without lying to it.

Mathematics

3Blue1Brown, Numberphile, CS50. For getting the concept before the notation — which is the useful order, whatever school implied.

Research institutions themselves

JAXA, KEK, RIKEN, Google Quantum AI. KEK's particle physics channel has 2,620 subscribers and better information than almost anything above it. The correlation between subscriber count and value is close to zero here.

Philosophy and language

The Institute of Art and Ideas, Nonzero, Big Think, TED. Where the questions experiments can't close get argued.

Programming and AI

Fireship, LaurieWired, Flutter, DeepLearningAI, GitButler. Weighted toward mechanism and design reasoning over tool tutorials.

The body

Doctors speaking within their own specialty, without overclaiming. Anyone saying "this alone cures it" was left out.

General curiosity

The supply that keeps the rest alive. When this thins out, everything else thins with it.

LanguageReading this in English

The list itself is annotated in Japanese, but channel names are shown as-is and roughly half the channels are English-language — so it is browsable either way. A full English edition is planned.

How this site handles translation

We don't machine-translate pages and publish them as if they were written in English. When an English edition exists, it has been written in English. Until then, this page tells you honestly what is on the other side of the link.

Everything on this site is free and has no paywall, in either language.
